Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy that uses hypnosis to induce a state of deep relaxation and heightened focus, which allows the individual to gain a greater understanding of the past to allow for positive change and new choices. It is often used to treat a variety of conditions, including anxiety, depression, phobias, and addiction.
By accessing the subconscious mind, hypnotherapy can help individuals overcome negative thought patterns and behaviours, develop new coping mechanisms, and gain greater insight into their emotions and behaviours.
Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process between the hypnotherapist and the individual, where the individual is always in control. It is considered safe and can be a valuable tool for those seeking to improve their mental health and well-being. Book an appointment or free consultation below.
Grief Counselling
Grief counselling is a form of therapy that helps individuals cope with the death of a loved one or other significant losses. It provides a supportive and non-judgmental environment where individuals can explore their feelings and emotions related to their loss, and learn healthy coping mechanisms for managing their grief.
It can help individuals navigate the complex emotions associated with grief, such as anger, sadness, and guilt, and find a way to move forward in their lives. Grief counselling can also provide a sense of validation and support, as individuals may feel that their grief is not understood or acknowledged by others in their lives.
Grief counselling is not only for those who are experiencing intense or prolonged grief. Anyone who has experienced a loss can benefit from grief counselling, regardless of the severity or duration of their grief. Grief counselling provides a safe and supportive space for individuals to process their grief and begin the healing process. We believe that a holistic approach to mental wellness is essential, and our therapists utilize evidence-based techniques to promote overall health and well-being. We help younger clients identify and build upon their strengths, foster resilience, and provide tools to manage stress and anxiety.
Our therapists are trained to provide a warm and non-judgmental environment, allowing youth to feel safe and supported as they explore their feelings and experiences. We believe in empowering youth to become active participants in their mental health journey. We provide resources and support to help youth develop healthy coping mechanisms that will serve them for years to come.
Children’s Counselling
Children’s therapy is for those who may be struggling to deal with big emotions and/or difficult circumstances. Changes in a child’s circumstances or sense of self may result in emotional or behavioural changes that are overwhelming and tough to manage. Stress, grief or loss, overwhelming feelings, anxiety, depression, and family conflicts are examples of things that may significantly impact a child.
In a safe and supportive environment with a trained therapist, children can explore their thoughts and feelings and understanding of their circumstances. Utilizing many forms of expressive arts such as play, art, storytelling, and sand play, sessions provide children opportunity to release and express their thoughts, feelings and concerns, and to explore new coping skills and tips for regulating big emotions.
Children’s Therapy aims to facilitate an environment where a child can progress in the development of their emotional regulation, social skills, and the development of a healthy sense of self. Children’s therapy typically involves regular sessions with the therapist, certainly at first, to build the safe and trusting therapeutic relationship, with the ongoing frequency and duration of sessions depending on the child’s individual needs. Sometimes the therapist will also work with the child’s parents or caregivers to collaborate ways to support and encourage the healthy development of the child. We had an amazing experience with Ezra Tuesday evening! I had to bring my 1 year old with us(she's a busy girl) but Ezra didn't even bat an eye, he even picked her up from time to time and continued on with our discussion.
Jennifer is easy to talk to and has given me several great tips lately. She comes up with excellent imagery to help understand my situation.
Since I started seeing Ezra, I'm better equipped to manage the challenges in my work and home life. I appreciate his patience, versatility, openness, and down-to-earth approach. With his guidance and encouragement, I learned how to set better boundaries at work and then take the scary step to change jobs (and I'm so much happier for it!). Thank you, Ezra.
